The Seychelles-Mumbai service will start on January 28, 2016 and that between Seychelles and Mauritius on February 4, 2016.
The new services to Mumbai and Mauritius have been introduced to accommodate the growing traffic between these regional centres and Seychelles.
Joël Morgan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport and chairman of Air Seychelles, said: “The introduction of additional services to destinations in the region means further expanding Seychelles as a regional hub. Since the launch of the nonstop services to Mumbai and Mauritius, Air Seychelles has continued to enhance its travel offering and build on its operation.
“Today it is well positioned for further growth in the region which will additionally strengthen the position of Seychelles as a destination and a centre for trade and commerce in the Indian Ocean.”
Roy Kinnear, chief executive of Air Seychelles, said: “We are delighted to meet the strong travel demand to and from Mumbai and Mauritius markets by introducing the fifth scheduled service to both destinations.
“These services, operated by Air Seychelles Airbus A320 aircraft, will provide an additional 544 return seats per week. Both Mauritius and India remain very important regional markets for Air Seychelles and we are committed to developing these routes and carrying a greater number of leisure travellers across our growing network.
“We appreciate the support of the Seychellois, Mauritian and Indian civil aviation authorities and their assistance in making these flights possible, which will further strengthen the tourism and trade ties between our countries.”
As part of these network changes, the Dar es Salaam service will be moved from the current Wednesday operation to Thursday effective January 28, 2016.
