Entitled ‘Art Attack’, the show will comprise a mix of music, songs, choreographed dances – modern as well traditional, poetry, comedy and much more all featuring popular local artists.
“It will be a show to celebrate all art forms in Seychelles and it will be very colourful and vibrant,” one of the organisers of this evening’s opening ceremony said.
The official opening ceremony which will take place at the ICCS starting at 6pm is by invitation only but the organiser said that it will be broadcast live on both radio and SBC television as from 6.05pm.
The opening ceremony will be followed soon after by a grand musical show organised by Seymas at the ex-children’ playground opposite the National Library and a Bal Kreol at the Sea Front Restaurant.
In fact as per the programme which has been put together and advertised, for the whole weekend Victoria will be fully alive and abuzz with a wide range of artistic activities for all ages and tastes.
The artists themselves are already in festival mood following their discussion with the press on Wednesday and a series of forums discussing the future of arts which took place yesterday.
