Mr Deepak Singh, the Convenor of the NRI Welfare Society of India is in Seychelles to personally deliver an invitation to Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture to be the Chief Guest at the 34th. International Congress of NRIs in Delhi.
Mr Singh was accompanied to the meeting at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture at their ESPACE Building Offices by Mr Pravin Darad. Also present at the meeting was Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board. Minister St.Ange was invited to address the 34th. International Congress on NRIs in Delhi which he said would be an opportunity to make Seychelles more visible and in so doing help generate more business for Air Seychelles which now offers a direct non-stop service linking Seychelles and Mumbai.
During the discussions the proposal for the NRI to host one of the Business Community Meeting in Seychelles during the course of the year was also discussed. The NRI plays a significant role in bringing the Indian Community across the world closer together and closer to India. The Overseas Indian Community is today the most diverse and eminently successful and the Congress is attended by important delegates coming from all over the world. Mr Pravin Darad of Allied Builders is the local representative in Seychelles for the NRI of India.
