The Ministry of Tourism and Culture and its Tourism Board have reconfirmed that this year the Miss Seychelles Pageant will again be as spectacular as before with all contestants parading in their traditional casual wear, swimwear and evening gowns. Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board and main organizer of the pageant said this in the presence of Minister Alain St.Ange, the Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture in a final briefing in preparation for the may pageant.
“We need to be proud of our people and of our culture because this remains the base for the success of our tourism industry. Through the Miss Seychelles pageant we showcase beauty with a purpose and we open doors for our young ladies. We all have a responsibility to stand by them and guide them” said Minister St.Ange.
Miss Seychelles pageant continues to hold the swimwear category of the pageant even though this section id no longer a requirement of the Miss World Pageant.
