Donatien describes his work as pieces that Tells Time, tradition and history. His works are a confluence of his passion for woodworking, the Arts & Crafts style, function (he is art teacher by profession), and fine craftsmanship. He works from his studio in the heart of the Anse La Mouche of the west coast of in the island.
Donation builds his woodcraft mostly from coconut and accents of natural wood .
Donation has been a woodworker by avocation for many years. He learned his trade starting in high school wood shop, and continued through many years of experience and supplemental courses in wood turning, architectural and furniture carving, and joinery.
