On his part high commissioner Panda thanked the Indian Association with the support of the government of Seychelles through the department of culture for such initiative to document and commemorate an important part of Seychelles history.
Minister St.Ange said we are where we are today because we have been able to work together.
“We need to keep on working so that everybody finds themselves in this one Seychelles that we have,” he said.
Minister St.Ange called on the Indian Association to work together with the department of culture to have a book that will mark this part of our history, and to have it launched next year. An idea which was welcomed by those present.
He also called on the musicians and artists of Seychelles to prepare a theme song for the Seychelles-India Day and to have it for this year’s celebrations in October.
